Something can be built with care and still drift.
That is the first reason Stewardship exists.
Fullheart is being built around Artists and the conditions under which their work can be encountered in a shared world without being flattened into ordinary platform logic. It did not begin as an abstract system looking for a purpose. It began with the sense that creative practice is not just content to be processed, and that the way something is named, priced, surfaced, or made visible changes what it becomes for the people living with it.
That matters because a good beginning does not hold itself together forever.
Fullheart needs Stewardship because the work is trying to preserve something while allowing it to evolve.
If the collective is going to change over time, then it needs a way to remember what must remain true while other things move. Not everything is meant to stay fixed. Some forms, routes, roles, and mechanisms should change as the work learns. But not every change is neutral. A change that makes the work easier to operate can also make it less faithful. A change that improves short-term performance can also pull the work toward habits it never meant to reward.
That is why Fullheart cannot rely on intention alone.
Intention matters. It shapes the first choices and gives the work its character. But intention lives in people, and people change. People get tired. People get persuasive new ideas. People inherit incomplete context. People can mean well and still normalize something that slowly reorders the work around convenience, speed, or money.
Stewardship is the answer to that fragility.
It gives the collective a way to carry reasons forward. It keeps the original questions visible: What is this for? What does it protect? What is it unwilling to trade away? What should be allowed to evolve, and what should not be optimized out of existence just because another shape is easier to measure?
So Stewardship is not there to freeze the work.
It is there so change does not erase continuity.
It is there so the collective can evolve without forgetting what it is protecting.
